Middletown Faculty Keep Spirit Going on First Friday of Virtual Learning

Thompson Middle School hasn’t let the virtual home instruction ruin the school spirit. Every Friday since September at Thompson Middle School, students have been encouraged to show their Lion Pride by wearing their favorite school spirit gear.

Some Fridays there’s a basketball game to support, other Fridays maybe it’s a cross country meet. Today, the first Friday of virtual learning for the students of Thompson, they are cheering for themselves.

Principal Brian Currie and his staff represented their students this morning by showing their pride.

“Thompson Middle School traditionally celebrates school spirit every Friday by sporting black and yellow,” Currie said. “Going virtual has not stopped our students from showing off their spirit on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram throughout the day.”

The hope is that students continue to feel connected with their school, by posting on their own social media accounts and virtualย  hangouts with their friends and family during this inconceivable time.
