A utility pole and power lines have been reported to be down on Middle Road between Poole Ave and Bromley Drive in Hazlet. As you can see from the photos, traffic is unable to currently pass through the area in a safe manner.
The Hazlet Police Department has set up a detour to hopefully alleviate some of the traffic going through the Bromley Drive neighborhood. Drivers will need to turn left on Fleetwood Drive to get to Route 35. The police remind drivers to adhere to the 25 mph speed limit in that area. Union Avenue is the most direct route to get to Route 36.
