May in Bloom at Rose of Sharon Florist
By Lori Draz

The merry month of May means lots of reasons to celebrate. Mother’s Day tops the list, but this is also time for proms, Memorial Day, wedding planning, even graduations. Flowers make each more special and the Rose Of Sharon Florist is one of the nation’s finest.
This one-stop shop for all your floral and décor needs was chosen one of the top 1000 florists by FTD and was selected Florist of the Year by Monmouth Health and Life.
Owner Jeff Echandia explains that Rose of Sharon is named for his mother Sharon and he is proud to honor and celebrate her life and her love of flowers every day. “We have very high standards for quality and customer service. Everything is about the customer and we sweat all the details so you don’t have to. We offer floral arrangements to fit all personalities and most importantly, all budgets.”
That attention to detail has earned him many loyal customers and some famous faces too, like Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. “People refer their friends…brides return to celebrate the births of their children and many more moments.
This is prom season and we have everything right here. We create custom corsages and boutonnieres, plus we have all the sparkling accessories and jewelry.”
May is also the month when many are planning weddings. “Brides take great comfort in knowing that I will be there for them from start to finish. We have five-star reviews from all our brides and I attend each and every wedding set-up. It’s all about the personal one-on-one at The Rose of Sharon. And we’re more than just flowers. We can provide you with linen service, canopy rentals, chair embellishments, candelabras, and accents.”
Today’s brides are choosing lots of blush colors and rose golds, with many lush romantic high-rise centerpieces or low-rise candlelit centerpieces, but the true correct choice is the one you love. Jeff suggests that it’s always a good idea to plan ahead, say six months, but also shares that they have handled a fair amount of weddings in under two weeks. “Anything can happen. Since we make sure everything that leaves our store is gorgeous, you’ll always be happy.”
Rose of Sharon also has a big selection of thriving and blooming live plants, gift items and even purses and jewelry for those everyday occasions. You will always find something that will speak your heart with quality and beauty.
