Lunch Break’s Taste of Summer Culinary Extravaganza hosted on May 1 at The Channel Club in Monmouth was the talk of the town. Close to 250 attendees enjoyed a perfect balmy evening at the organization’s second annual culinary, which was part of Lunch Break’s 35th Anniversary celebration.
More than 25 area restaurants and eateries featured signature dishes along with craft beer, wine and drinks from liquor distributors. Party-goers mingled, sampled and sipped while enjoying live music by Lunch Break volunteer Mike Welty of Rummy Joe.

“The Taste of Summer Culinary Extravaganza was a huge success. We were happy to be part of a great evening that raised awareness and funds to help Lunch Break in its efforts to nourish and care for our community,” says George Chrysanthopoulos, a member of the Lunch Break Board of Trustees and owner of the Beach Tavern and Channel Club Marina in Monmouth Beach.
Save the date for the Fall Gala slated for Oct. 26 at the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan.
