Local Road Closure Starts Thursday, June 23

NJ Transit will be replacing the double track at the Beer Street Crossing. As a result, Beers Street will be closed for construction on Thursday, June 23 at 10 am and reopen at 7 am on Thursday, June 30. The weekday work will be completed between 9 am to 4 pm, and the weekend work will be completed between 7 am to 5 pm. The paving day will be done between 7 am to 5 pm on Wednesday, June 29 if weather permits.

Pedestrians will be able to cross until 1 pm on Friday. The Hazlet Police Department will have an officer present to ensure students can safely cross.

Please follow the posted detours. You will not be able to cross over the tracks after 1 pm Friday. There is ample signage for the posted detours to assist you in reaching your destination.

If there are any delays in this construction, the Hazlet police will do their best to keep the public posted with updated information as soon as it is available.
