Local Business Donating Today’s Profits to Jersey City Detective’s Family

Doughology in Atlantic Highlands is offering a special product today in honor of Detective Joseph Seals who was killed during a mass shooting in Jersey City last month.

The sweet shop announced it will be selling “special blue line donuts” until 6 pm, with all proceeds going to Seals’ family.

Seals was a 39-year-old married father of five who was killed during a deadly shootout on Dec. 10. He had served with the Jersey City Police Department for 13 years.

UPDATE: According to Doughology, $9,787 was raised and subsequently donated to Seals’ family.
