Little Silver News

Members of the first aid squad gathered to welcome a new ambulance for Little Silver.

Little Silver has been a very busy place in recent weeks! The Little Silver PTO Kitchen Tour was a huge success, with more than 500 participants, and the crowds were delighted. Thanks to all the volunteers and host homes that made this great event possible.

Residents also welcomed a brand new ambulance for the community’s first responders, to assist them in assisting their neighbors in times of need.

Additionally, Little Silver’s Jack Stamer, a senior at Red Bank Regional High School, was the winner of the Little Silver Charitable Foundation’s essay contest. Jack won the $1,000 college scholarship for his essay on “What made growing up in Little Silver so special?” He read his winning essay to the mayor and council. Jack is an incredible young man heading to the University of Wisconsin next year to study engineering.

And finally, as the June issue of The Journal was going to press, everyone was getting ready for A Taste of Little Silver. This free, special culinary celebration was scheduled for Sunday, May 21 in the Acme parking lot, showcasing tasty samplings and giveaways from local restaurants and businesses, along with live musical entertainment throughout the day.
