Library Celebrates Makers Day Saturday

Middletown Library NJ

The Middletown Township Public Library was a participating site for the New Jersey Makers Day on March 10. New Jersey Makers Day is a statewide celebration of making and maker culture that takes place every March in the Garden State. The primary goal is to enhance community engagement and facilitate connections among New Jersey residents by exploring new and interesting opportunities for community-wide education, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning experiences.

“We are delighted to be able to bring this type of programming to the Middletown community with the help of local sponsors, students, and volunteers,” said Ellie Strbo, Youth Services Manager. “It affords us the opportunity to show that STEAM can be fun and can open young minds to the possibility of career paths (or hobbies) within these fields.”

For more information about upcoming programs, contact Middletown Public Library at (732) 671-3700 or visit www.mtpl.org. Middletown Public Library is located at 55 New Monmouth Road in Middletown. To learn more about NJ Makers Day, visit www.njmakersday.org.
