The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lincroft Volunteer Fire Company is sponsoring a fundraiser called Fun Night at the Fire House. The festivities start at 7:30 pm on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Lincroft Fire House located at 601 Newman Springs Rd. in Lincroft.
The event was held each year with successful results. For safety reasons, all fundraising activities were suspended over the last two years due to COVID-19. Now the ladies are excited to open the doors of the fire house and to see community friends and family come out and mingle at a local and fun event.
There are no skills required to participate in the card game. At each game table, there will be playing cards dealt out. As the caller calls off cards, one at a time, from a separate deck, the players remove the called card from their hands. The first few players to get rid of all their cards wins. Winners select their own prize from a pile of more than 100 wrapped gifts. There are multiple winners in each game.
Admission to the event is free; however, door donations are always welcomed. The doors open at 7 pm. Seats are available on a first-come basis. There will be raffles for gift baskets and a 50/50 prize.
Dessert, coffee and tea will be served. Guests are allowed to bring snacks and beverages for their individual groups.
Currently, the Ladies Auxiliary is accepting contributions for game prizes and gift baskets. Contact Maria Dunn at 732-345-9525 to make donations or to obtain more details.
The Ladies Auxiliary is a support group for the Lincroft Fire Company. They supply food/beverages to the volunteer fire fighters upon return from fire calls and to those who remain on call at the fire house when there is a state of emergency. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary sponsors fundraisers for the purchase of equipment and maintenance of the fire house. New members are always welcomed by the fire company and the Ladies Auxiliary.
