NJ Man Identifies Himself as Falsely Reported Missing Person

Julian Caban Missing Person Red Bank Tinton Falls NJ

On April 9, the Red Bank Police Department posted about a missing person from Monmouth County on its Facebook. A few hours later, the post received a comment from Julián Cabán, a man who says he is the person described in the post.

Cabán said he is not missing but that he is assumed to be so because he does not have contact with anyone in the Red Bank area. In the comment, Cabán blasted the Red Bank Police Department, insisting he attempted to get his name removed from the missing persons list but had his request denied.

Julián Cabán, the person reported missing.

“As for the police, I reached out to them,” the comment in part reads. “They don’t want to take me off of this. They [are] making money off of this.”

The Journal NJ reached out to the Red Bank Police Department, but no comment has been made at this time.

Cabán’s full comment reads, “Hahaha look at this Red Bank Polic not doing their job again this is actually me and everybody know this is my Facebook I am here posting this today and logging in my Facebook which I haven’t been in years. I don’t want to talk to anybody from Red Bank neither it goes for the same for my family right now so that’s the only reason why they even considered me missing is because I don’t talk to them as for the police I reached out to them they don’t want to take me off of this they making money off of this. You guys need to do a better job. Considering me missing, thats halirous i have a thriving restaurant in new york and im doing great.”
