Jogger Reports Assault in Red Bank, Claims Suspect Fled

A female jogger reported being assaulted between 8 and 9 am Sunday, Jan. 12 while running in Red Bank.

She reported to have been blindsided and thrown to the ground by a male assailant. The suspect was described as wearing gym shorts with a black, long-sleeved hoodie with a lime green shirt underneath. The victim suffered a minor hand injury, Red Bank police said.

The jogger was running on McLaren Street, between Spring Street and Prospect Avenue in Red Bank.

The Red Bank police said an investigation is ongoing. They have released the photos below and asked anyone who may be able to identify the subject to call Det. John Camarca at 732-530-2777, ext. 206 or the TIPS line at 732-450-9704.
