Jersey Shore Miniature Village Returns after Three-Year Hiatus

After a three-year hiatus, the Jersey Shore Miniature Village is returning this year!

This year’s Jersey Shore Christmas Village “open house” will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 from 6 to 9 pm and again on Thursday, Dec 23 from 6 to 9 pm at 28 Sugar Maple Dr. in Red Bank.

“This village is comprised of Dept. 56/Lemax buildings and accessories that our family has collected for the past 20 years,” Red Bank resident Jimmy Glynn said. “When Superstorm Sandy struck the Jersey Shore in October 2012, [my sons] James and Matthew decided to transform our garage into a ‘Jersey Shore Christmas.’ They had a vision to bring the community together and enter an enchanted world only held back by the imagination. They sent out flyers to friends, family and neighbors, inviting all to see their village. A crowd of 200 people attended and were very impressed with their display! Christmas music was played, and hot chocolate and desserts were served to all.”

As in past years, the family will serve hot chocolate, desserts and play continuous Christmas music. Within the village, an EyeSpy game for children and adults can be played as they scramble through the clues.

There will be a token of appreciation box set up alongside the display, with all proceeds going to the Fairview First Aid Squad.
