Hostage Situation Ends Fatally at Keansburg Pharmacy
Yesterday around 3:30 pm, there was a hostage situation at Keansburg Pharmacy in Keansburg.
An unidentified robbery suspect took a hostage during the incident. Police officers responded, and one was stabbed during the commotion. Multiple shots were fired and the suspect was killed, police said. The incident is currently under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
The wounded officer has several injuries, but is expected to recover.
