Holy Cross Class of 2017 Accepted to Top High Schools

The Holy Cross Class of 2017 shows off their soon-to-be high school sweatshirts.

Holy Cross School in Rumson, a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, prides itself on strong academics. The middle school curriculum features an Advanced Math track, the Discovery Education online science curriculum, and cutting-edge technology to support student achievement. Holy Cross students regularly rank in the top 15% nationwide in TerraNova standardized tests.

Students in the Class of 2017 have been accepted to several exclusive high schools, based on their academic merit. Accepted to Christian Brothers Academy Class of 2021 are Chase Giunta of Middletown, Aaron Hauck of Colts Neck, Michael Horowitz of Locust, Walter Mehl of Rumson, Dane Moran of Rumson, James Proodian of Red Bank, Brian Reynolds of Eatontown, John Straley of Holmdel, Kevin Truscio of Locust, and Terence Wrench of Leonardo.

Alexis Lombardo of Belford and Delaney Patrick of Middletown were accepted to Mater Dei Prep, while Trinity Hall welcomed Sarah Bilotta of Middletown and Caitlin Ramos of Rumson. Miss Ramos was given an Academic Merit Award from Trinity Hall, as well.

Three students were accepted to specialized vocational high schools. Both Kathryn Johnston of Fair Haven and Kendall Walsh of Red Bank were accepted to Red Bank Regional Visual and Performing Arts Academy, and Thomas Makin of Rumson was accepted to High Technology High School.

In addition, 11 students will attend Red Bank Catholic High School, and four will attend St. John Vianney High School. Principal William J. Belluzzi states, โ€œI am very proud of the Class of 2017. They have done very well academically and have shown strong support of one another as a class. It has been a real pleasure to work with them over the years. I hope that the values learned at Holy Cross will remain with them throughout their lives.โ€
