Holmdel High School Seniors Accepted to Nation’s Top Schools

Consistently recognized for the excellent college preparation Holmdel High School provides, the list of college acceptances for the members of the Holmdel High School Class of 2017 once again included offers from some of the nation’s top colleges and universities, including 23 offers from 11 of those recognized by U.S. News and World Report as being in the top 25 nationally ranked schools.

The Class of 2017 received 986 offers of admission from both national and international colleges and universities, including acceptances to several Ivy League schools as well as to such prestigious institutions as NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Emory, and the University of California at Berkeley. More than 90 members of the Class of 2017 earned admission to Rutgers University alone. A complete list of acceptances is available on the school district website, www.holmdelschools.org.

Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry commented, “Our students are some of the finest in the nation and our school counselors, faculty, and administration do a superior job of promoting this and helping each student find a post-secondary plan that is just the right fit for them.”

Commencement for the Class of 2017 was held on Wednesday, June 22 at the Collins Arena on the campus of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
