Holmdel High School Class of 2020 to Carry on Senior Walk Tradition

Four years ago, a new Holmdel High School senior class tradition was born – the Senior Walk – an opportunity for soon-to-be-graduates to take a walk through each of the district’s schools to commemorate the journey that led them to high school graduation.

Despite the pandemic, this tradition will continue on Thursday evening, as students will have the opportunity to drive by each district school in a procession throughout the township.

“I can’t think of a better way for all of us to congratulate our graduating seniors and to celebrate the end of this unusual school year,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert McGarry. “The commitment to continue such a tradition speaks to the perseverance that our students, faculty and staff have demonstrated throughout the last several months.”

A virtual graduation ceremony will be broadcast that evening following the Senior Walk. The ceremony will premier at 8 pm will be accessible via the district website.

In-person ceremonies will be held in July.
