Hazlet and Union Beach Man Arrested for Large Quantity of Drugs

On Thursday March 7, 2019, Union Beach Police Officers seized a large quantity of cocaine and heroin, drug paraphernalia and US currency.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop by Union Beach Police Department Ptl. Matthew Gajewski, UBPD located over 250 folds of heroin, 61 vials of cocaine and various drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested Carl Hosier, 48 of Hazlet and John Moreno, 32 of Union Beach.

Hosier was charged with: two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic syringes – possession of Heroin, possession of Cocaine.

Moreno had several active warrants for his arrest, and was also charged with: hindering apprehension, possession of Heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police also seized one motor vehicle and nearly $1500.00 in US currency.

Sgt Chris Tuberion, Ptl Matthew Gajewski, Detective Joseph Friscia, and Officer Dan Passarelli were involved in making the arrest(s) stated Chief of Police Michael J. Woodrow.
