Garden Club of Fair Haven Plans Fall Events
The Garden Club of Fair Haven is pleased to announce the details of its fall event sponsored by the Outreach Committee.
The event, “Putting your Garden to Bed,” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13. Please note that the original date was Oct. 12. The event begins at 9:45 am at the Community Center. Members of the club will share their expertise on pruning, composting, bulb planting and perennial care with a short presentation on each topic. In addition, instructions on how to use those trimming to create attractive container arrangements for the holidays will be presented. The remaining time of the hour-long event will be for audience questions. Sign up details will be at FairHavenPTA.com beginning Oct. 1. Coffee will be served. There is no fee to attend, but the event is limited to 50 people.
The garden club is putting a floral arrangement in the Fair Haven library monthly with gardening tips for that month. A flower arranging class is being planned through the library and will be held just before Thanksgiving. Look for information, and sign up at the library.
Look for details next month on the Wreath Event scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29, which will also take place at the Community Center.
