Garden Club of Fair Haven Inducts Three New Members

September’s meeting brought the Garden Club of Fair Haven members back to the Community Center for their first in-person meeting since October 2020. Everyone enjoyed the delicious meal served by the luncheon committee as they caught up with old friends.

Highlights of the meeting included induction of three new members into the club: Gary Allers, Tracy Cole and Leslie Eadon.  The club acknowledged Mary Warshauer for becoming president of The National Garden Club.  A club award in her honor was presented that will be given for achievements by a club member in the future.

The club continues to beautify Fair Haven by filling the town planters with seasonal flowers several times a year. The Junior Program continues to work with local Girl Scout troops, helping them earn environmental badges. Garden therapy meets every month to make mini flower arrangements that adorn the trays for Meals on Wheels and the Outreach program will again work with the Fair Haven PTA.

If you are interested in becoming a garden club member, contact Lee Davidson at  Meetings are held at the Community Center at noon on the first Wednesday of each month.
