Garden Club of Fair Haven News

The Garden Club of Fair Haven (GCFH) presented a Small Standard Flower Show, “Amazing Autumn,” on October 4. With more than 179 horticultural entries and three design classes, club members and the general public were treated to a late season burst of greenery, creative design, and floral display.

The November 1 program promises to be equally exciting, as the club presents its annual Gift Basket Raffle. The showy, beautifully presented baskets are terrific for all types of gift giving and particularly appropriate for the upcoming holiday season.

On December 6, GCFH will present floral designer Cathy Miller, who will share her memories of working in the White House for five presidents while demonstrating her techniques for dried flower arrangements.

In addition to informing, educating, and entertaining members, GCFH performs important civic projects that benefit the community of Fair Haven, including seasonal plantings of public planters at Victory Park.

The general public is invited to attend the Gift Basket Raffle and the December 6 program. Both will begin at 1:00 p.m. on their respective dates.  For reservations, please email bethde@aol.com. For up-to-date club activities, please visit www.gcfhnj.org.
