Four Arrested Following Multi-Vehicle Crash in Red Bank

On Thursday, Nov. 18 at approximately 6 pm, Red Bank police units responded to a multi-vehicle crash on N. Bridge Avenue north of Front Street. One vehicle, a 2021 Audi, fled the scene.

A short time later, patrol units located the Audi abandoned in the parking lot of the Salvation Army on Newman Springs Road with extensive damage. Ptl. Stan Balmer and K-9 Hunter conducted a track and located two occupants of the vehicle in the neighborhood behind the Salvation Army, and patrol officers located two other occupants, including the driver, Brandon Waller.

Waller, 19, of Brooklyn, was charged with various motor vehicle offenses including Reckless Driving and Leaving the Scene of an Accident as well as Obstructing the Administration of Law. In addition, the three passengers were also charged with Obstructing the Administration of Law. They were 20-year-old Dianyau Lane, 21-year-old Isaiah Feliciano and 21-year-old Shyyah Batyehuda, all of Brooklyn.

Ptl. Darren McConnell, of the traffic safety unit, investigated the crash which did not result in any injuries.

The arresting officers were Balmer and McConnell along with Ptl. Maletto, Albert and Cahill with assistance from other patrol officers and Tinton Falls Police Department.
