With a nor-easter closing in on New Jersey, some towns have already experienced rising waters and coastal flooding.

β€œThe High Water fleet and swift water members have been deployed since last night conducting multiple flood rescues,” the Sea Bright Fire and Rescue squad tweeted this morning.

Flooding in Highlands also made streets impassible.

Although Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and southern New York are preparing for the brunt of the storm, winds up to 50 mph are expected across the Garden State.

Sea Bright Mayor Dina Long tweeted Wednesday, β€œHeads up neighbors: coastal flood advisory in effect & tide projections show potential for water in the streets during hi-tides tomorrow into Friday.”

Local officials urge residents to use caution as the storm passes through.
