The famous Red Bank comic book store, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, is relocating from 35 Broad St. after 23 years. They will be moving down the street to 65 Broad St., on the corner of Wallace Street, to a location which was once a rug and home goods store.

New Jersey native, filmmaker and store owner Kevin Smith announced the move on Wednesday. The last day in the present location will be Dec. 28.

Many Red Bank businesses took a heavy hit after being forced to close due to the pandemic. The popular comic book spot was not excluded from that struggle. Smith jokingly wrote, “Jay and Silent Bob are clearly too stupid to comprehend that the world doesn’t need them or their store anymore – so they’re building a better mousetrap just down the street.”

Smith wrote in his post, “The secret of the Stash is out: as of JANUARY, you’ll be finding us a few doors down from the same place we’ve been as a brick-and-mortar store for two decades! Look for lots of new features and fun as we start our 24th year in business with a new lease on life (and locale)!”
