Fair Haven Oktoberfest 2017

By Lori Draz

The Foundation of Fair Haven welcomes you to the annual and upgraded Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 16 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. This wonderful food, music, and family festival will be held at Fair Haven Fields, with fun for all ages. There will be family friendly food trucks and vendors like Philly Pretzel, The Lighthouse, Tony’s Sausage, and more; local vendors and crafts featuring homemade items and a great start to holiday shopping, kids’ activities, adult beverages, and the return performance of Remember Jones with his 12-piece band. New to the event stage will be the Moroccan Sheepherders opening the show and hometown favorite Wait till Friday with party favorites.

Children under age 10 are free, youth tickets for 10-20 years old are $5, and adult tickets for age 21 and up are $10 and include one free adult beverage ticket, which will include an array of Oktoberfest beer selections and red and white wines. There will be additional fees for Oktoberfest beverages and games. Proceeds benefit the Foundation of Fair Haven.

“We were so excited after the success of our upgraded Oktoberfest last year that we are pleased to continue with this new tradition for our residents, and with the guidance of our event chair, Amanda Lynn, are hoping for another fun and exciting way to raise money and promote community,” said Fair Haven Foundation President and Councilwoman Susan Sorensen. “I could not be more excited to again work on this exciting event for Fair Haven. With the outstanding music lineup and some great food already in the works, I’m sure it will be another amazing day for our community,” said Amanda Lynn, event chair, “I’m lucky to have a beautiful venue and an amazing team to work with!”
