This story comes from Angela Zych of Middletown, and has quite a bit of sadness behind it. The little girl in this photo is Ellie Rose who passed away 2 weeks before her first birthday from a rare metabolic disorder called cdg1a.

Ellie lived most of her short life at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where they took very good care of her up until the end. Everyone has various ways to deal with a loss of a family member, but in this case Angela, her grandmother, decided to sell and continues to sell personal belongings on all local market places and the Middletown Buy/Sell groups. All funds raised through Angela’s efforts are donated to the Ellie Rose foundation at the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia to pay for research.

Let’s thank Angela for her good deed and trying to pay it forward by funding research that one day may save a child with this rare disorder.
