Drive-In Movie and Dinner Experience Coming to Holmdel

As more towns begin to offer drive-in movie experiences during the pandemic, Holmdel has also joined the nostalgic movement.

During a Township Committee meeting Tuesday, Bell Works was approved to use the lot space around the building to accommodate guests for a drive-in movie. Attendees can park at 101 Crawfords Corner Rd. and enjoy a film which will be projected onto a 65-foot tall screen outside.

Food will also be delivered curbside by participating restaurants in Bell Works.

Up to 300 cars will be accommodated. Movie titles and event times have not yet been released, though it is estimated the film nights will begin in July.

Atlantic Highlands has also introduced the concept of a drive-in movie. Events will be held at the Atlantic Highlands Marina this summer.

Four nights have already been planned starting June 27, the Borough of Atlantic Highlands announced. This greatly anticipated drive-in theater will be open on Saturday nights โ€” June 27, July 25, Aug. 29 and Sept. 19. Reservations can be made online, and the location can accommodate 48 cars. Organized by the Atlantic Highlands Recreation Committee, the theater will have an 8 pm and 10 pm showing.
