Community Blood Drive at CBI Rumson On December 23

Due to the continued great need in the community, Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) in Rumson is hosting another blood drive on Thursday, Dec. 23 from 12:30 to 6:30 pm at 171 Ridge Rd., at the corner of Hance and Ridge Roads. The parking lot entrance is on Hance Road.

Appointments are highly recommended. For an appointment, go to nybc.org/newjerseydrive and use sponsor code 71045, or call 800-933-2566. Walk-ins will be accepted only if spacing allows.

To give blood, you must be in generally good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years of age or 16 years of age with parental consent. Donors 76 and older need a doctor’s note. There is no waiting period after COVID-19 vaccinations as long as the donor is feeling well.

Donors are asked to please remember to eat, drink and bring your donor ID card or ID with name and photo with them to the appointment. Masks are required, and temperatures will be taken. For more rules and information, go to nybc.org.

Questions may be directed to CBI Executive Director Emilie Kovit-Meyer at emilie.kovit-meyer@cbirumson.org.
