The Colts Neck Lions Club will host its annual pancake breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 8 to 11 am. The event will be held at the Colts Neck Community Church. Proceeds will fund the construction of the club’s Braille trails.
A Braille trail is a walking path or hiking trail that is designed to be accessible by those who are visually impaired. Trails are often delineated with ropes or other physical barriers, have signage and other markers, feature audio components or are written in Braille. The first of these trails will be at the Manasquan Reservoir, so look for it in the coming months.
Previously, the club worked with the Monmouth County Parks Department to create a Sensory Den at Dorbrook Recreation Area.
The Colts Neck Lions Club is always looking for new members and ideas to help the community. The club meets at 7 pm on the third Monday of the month at Huddy’s Inn in Colts Neck.
