Colts Neck lacrosse goalie Alex Blaszczck has reached the 200-save career milestone. The senior achieved the mark during a 13-2 home victory over Freehold Township on April 11 and was awarded the game ball.
Her best outing of the season was a 15-save performance against Holmdel. She also recorded 10 saves in games with Middletown North and St. Rose.
“Although it is my first season with Alex, I immediately recognized she is an admirable player,” first-year Head Coach Hunter Fecskovics said. “She has made great strides in her ability to mentally stay in games even when down. Alex takes great pride in her role as a team captain and backbone of the defense. She commands the field well and is constantly striving to be better. I personally believe that with the season Alex is having it is quite possible she may be able to record 300 career saves before the end of the season.”
