Colts Neck High School field hockey goalie Elizabeth Connors has reached the 100-save milestone. She achieved the mark on Oct. 16 in a road game against Wall Township. She collected 10 saves during the contest to bring her career total to 106.
The senior captain has been credited with 68 saves so far this season and recorded 38 in 2020, her first year manning the cage. Her best career showing was a 16-save performance against Middletown High School South on Oct. 11 of this year.
She has opportunities to continue playing at the collegiate level. Schools that have expressed interest in Connors include Ramapo College of New Jersey, William Patterson University, Stockton University, The College of New Jersey and Nazareth College.
Head Coach Maria Merlucci stated, “Elizabeth is a hardworking highly motivated team player who has put the success of the program above her individual accomplishments.”
