Colts Neck Girls’ Basketball Starts Season with a Win

Julianna Kowaleski led the Cougars in scoring against Manalapan.

The Colts Neck High School girls’ basketball team launched its 2022-23 campaign with a 48-36 road victory over Manalapan.

Junior guard Julianna Kowaleski led the squad in scoring with 21 points. Her entire production came from outside the arc.

Savannah Butz dominated the boards, swiping 12 rebounds. The junior forward also chipped in 13 points, going five for five at the free throw line.

Sophomore Katie Dichter sparked the defense with six steals and scored five points.

Also scoring for the Cougars were Gabriella Bryce, Lydia Bereznitski, Katie Finnegan and Brooke Lombardo.
