Colts Neck Business Association News

Save the Dates

The Colt Neck Business Association (CNBA) will host their next networking event, a business card exchange, on Tuesday, February 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at Ashford & Grace Fine Jewelers, in The Orchards Plaza on Route 34 in Colts Neck.

Coming in March is CNBA’s biggest event of the year, a networking luncheon held at Trump National Golf Course. It will be held on Tuesday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is open to all; be sure to get your tickets soon, as they usually sell out. CNBA members can also advertise their businesses at this event in three different ways: purchasing a vendor table, providing a small item with your logo (e.g. pen, flashlight) to be put in a “swag bag” that will be given to each attendee, or donating a gift basket to be raffled off. Don’t miss this great opportunity to grow your business in 2017. Tickets, vendor tables, and swag bags are available on the CNBA website, www.coltsneckbusiness.org.

Window Painting

December saw the store windows of Colts Neck take on a festive look, as CNBA held their annual Holiday Window Painting Contest for Colts Neck High School art students. The event culminated in an awards breakfast held at Colts Neck High School on January 6. CNBA president Sue Fitzpatrick, recording secretary Alison Antenucci, and corresponding secretary Sheila Olt attended the event on behalf of the business association to present the awards to the talented students. The winners are as follows:

  • First place: Samantha Carvalho for United Counties Insurance
  • Second place: Dillon Pellecchia, Julianna Hanna, Lauren Ettore, and Alex Cavanaugh for Becker Hardware
  • Third place: Noelle Conforti, Amanda Williams, and Gianna Bravaco for Perkins Restaurant & Bakery
  • Honorable mention: Alessia Schiano, Nicole Grossbaum, and Emma Devlin for Orlando’s Restaurant and Pizzeria

General Meeting

Last month’s general meeting was held on Wednesday, January 11 at the Colts Neck Library. This was the CNBA’s official annual meeting, at which the operating budget and the annual report for the fiscal year were presented, as well the board’s plans for 2017. The guest was Freeholder Tom Arnone, who spoke about economic development as well as the following programs: Grow Monmouth, Made in Monmouth, and Grown in Monmouth.
