Chef David Burke is Back in Town

There’s a new kid in town, and he’s bringing his culinary genius to Sea Bright.

New Jersey Native, celebrity chef and former owner of the Fromagerie, David Burke recently launched his latest endeavor at the Driftwood Cabana Club in partnership with the Stavola Family, owners of Driftwood. Drifthouse Restaurant by David Burke is Burke’s first oceanfront restaurant – and only a few weeks in operation, promises to be a Jersey Shore dining destination.

The space, previously occupied by Ama Ristorante, has undergone an interior redesign and features noticeable new concepts. Artwork hand selected by Burke lines the walls and is showcased throughout the restaurant creating an element of interest and whimsy. Another element of interest is the dining menu which features dishes characteristic to Burke’s imaginative creativity.

The dinner menu includes a selection of starters like Pastrami Salmon, and Bacon on a Clothesline. Main dishes offer traditional fare from Roast Chicken and Local Scallops to the unique Bison Short Rib, Hand-Cut Squid Ink Linguini ‘Fra Diavolo’ and cuts of beef salt dry-aged with Burke’s patented process technique.

A stand out on the Sides menu is the Angry Broccoli and ‘Hipster Fries’ – with bacon, shishito and parmesan.

On the sweet side, the dessert menu is equally unique. Burke continues to offer his signature creation DB Cheesecake Pops in addition to a Creamsicle Crème Brulee, Cake by the Ocean, a Banana, Coconut, Blueberry Alaska for Two, and many tempting others.

Burke stated, “It’s my goal to bring a true culinary experience to the Drifthouse Restaurant. A quality dining experience should be flavorful, beautiful and memorable, and that is what we will strive for every day. It’s a real treat to work with my talented brother, Chef Robert Burke, and together we should be a tour de force on the Jersey shore.”

Burke enlisted his brother, Executive Chef Robert Burke to lead the kitchen and brought with him April Nikorak as general manager.

Drifthouse Restaurant is located at 1485 Ocean Avenue and is open to the public year round. The restaurant offers dinner starting at 4 p.m., happy hour at the bar room, outdoor dining, private dining rooms, and a superb Sunday brunch.
