By Lori Draz

The festive time of year begins this month in Fair Haven. Mayor Josh Halpern invites all residents to come out and enjoy these terrific, family-friendly events.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, get in the spirit at the Halloween Parade. The fun begins with a Fair Haven favorite, the Halloween Egghunt at Sportsmans at 3 pm. Following the egg hunt at 3:30 pm, the parade begins and winds its spooky path to the Fair Haven Fire Department for more fun.
On Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 am, there will be a Veterans Day commemoration at Memorial Park.
On Friday, Dec. 2, Christmas time is here! Itโs the big Tree Lighting event. The festivities begin with a holiday stroll through the Business District from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Then Santa himself arrives at Memorial Park at 6 pm, with the tree lighting at dusk.ย
On Sunday, Dec. 18, celebrate the beginning of the Festival of Lights at the Menorah Lighting at 4:30 pm at Memorial Park.
