Car Stolen from Rumson Friday Night Later Found in Newark
On Friday, Sept. 3, car thieves were in Rumson, attempting to steal vehicles from residents.
Rumson police received reports of these criminals walking down driveways as early as 9 pm, looking for unlocked cars with key fobs inside.
The thieves were successful in locating an unlocked car with the key fob inside and proceeded to steal that car, police said.
The car was subsequently located and recovered on Sept. 4 by police in Newark.
