Foodies, there’s a new event on the menu: the first ever Boujee Food Con coming Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 to the grounds surrounding Russell Hall at Fort Monmouth. It’s a tented outdoor food convention full of music, games, culinary contests, workshops and, of course, plenty of great eats.
Event producers CW Events share that Tether View CEO Michael Abboud is donating 100 percent of the event space rent proceeds to Oceanport First Aid, and RiverWalkCenter.com is gifting the Oceanport and Eatontown First Responders 100 tickets as thanks for all they do.
You’ll be able to sample food from a growing list of some of the area’s popular eateries – everything from sushi, Mexican, main dishes, desserts, healthy choices and seafood plus wine tasting, honey, caviar and a whole lot more.
In addition to lots of live music, there will also be chef throwdowns, a 360-degree photo booth by Lifetime Impressions, and carnival games for the kids by Hick’s House of Entertainment.
“We’re thrilled to bring this event to the community,” says CW Events Founder Renee Lam-Whiteman.
Co-organizer Melanie Carpenter added, “This event also showcases the ongoing transformation of Fort Monmouth from a vacant military base to a vibrant epicenter of the area.”
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 at eventbrite.com or $20 day of event at the gate. Children under 10 are free. Hours are June 3 from 11 am to 9 pm and June 4 from 11 am to 7 pm. The event will be held rain or shine. For the latest food vendors and updates, follow @boujee_foodie_con on Instagram and on Facebook @boujeefoodiecon.
