Best Restaurants with Outdoor Seating in Central Jersey

By Julia Mortimer

It’s a warm summer day, and the sun is shining. You just left the beach and are in dire need of a drink and tacos, all while enjoying the company of your friends or loved ones. Now that Gov. Phil Murphy has given restaurants the OK for outdoor dining this summer, the options are aplenty. Here are a few spots to destress and enjoy a summery beverage!

Eventide Grille at Navesink Marina
Set back on Ocean Avenue, this dockside dining is a delightful spot for drinks and a delicious dinner. Eventide often has live music – an added bonus!

Patricia’s of Holmdel
Here you’ll find comforting Italian food, like your grandma is in the kitchen making your favorite Sunday sauce. Patricia’s also offers gluten-free options!

Channel Marker Cafe
Channel Marker Cafe is located in the heart of Lavellete, the quaint beach town with an array of wonderful spots to relax while dining. The Channel Marker is just the place to enjoy the bay views while grabbing breakfast before the beach.

Rory’s Pub
Conveniently located on Ocean Avenue, across from Sea Bright Beach, this cozy, casual Irish pub is just the spot to grab a drink, a burger (they have a great veggie burger!) and chill out to some live music.

The Boondocks Fishery
This is the quintessential summer spot for riverside views in Red Bank. A seafood shack that is also BYOB – what more could you ask for?

Bahrs Landing
The Highlands staple that needs no introduction. Craving award-winning lobster after your salty beach day? This is the place.

The Dublin House
The Dublin House is a historical Irish pub in the heart of Red Bank. With the Temple Bar in the back, that often hosts musicians, and dining in the front courtyard, lazy summer days are greatly anticipated at this Red Bank spot.

Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten
I have long referenced the Biergarten as hops heaven. With German influence, a spacious outdoor dining area and giant pretzels, it’s just the spot to hit to unwind after a long day.

Albariño Tapas & Wine Bar
Located in the Grove West of Shrewsbury, Albariño specializes in wine and seafood tapas from Galicia, Spain. “Dining with Draz” readers may remember our recent comprehensive review and meal recommendations!

Charley’s Ocean Grill
Steaks, burgers and seafood are offered at this laid-back restaurant with a bi-level deck. The top deck offers an ocean view from Long Branch!
