Bell Works Tower to be Lit Up Pink for Special Heavenly Birthday

Vienna Wunderler SUDC 3

In 2017, healthy Vienna Carly Savino tragically died at 2 years of age. She fell asleep while watching TV at home in Holmdel and never woke up again. Her death was categorized as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). As a result, Dr. Denise Wunderler, Vienna’s mother, founded the 501(c)3 nonprofit Team Vienna 4 SUDC Awareness and co-founded The SUDC Coalition. She, her family and Team Vienna work hard to remember Vienna in unique ways, while raising funds for research and educating the world about SUDC, a virtually unknown entity in the medical community.

Bell Works in Holmdel will light its iconic 60-foot tower pink on Friday, Jan. 21 in honor of Vienna. This will be the second consecutive year that the famous structure will be lit for the inspiring toddler. Starting at 6 pm at OasisVRX inside Bell Works, Vienna roses and other giveaways will be available for visitors. Any donation amount will allow entry into a drawing that will be held at 8 pm that night to receive a gift from a Bell Works business. If you mention Vienna at Jersey Freeze, they will donate a portion of their ice cream profits to Team Vienna.

All donations received during January will be donated for SUDC genetic research at Robert’s Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Robert’s Program is one of three different research studies in which Vienna’s family is enrolled in hopes of uncovering the cause of Vienna’s death, thus preventing this from happening to other families.

In honor of this inspiring toddler, Dr. Wunderler and her daughter, Vienna’s older sister, will donate their hair to the Children with Hair Loss nonprofit. This event will take place Saturday, Jan. 22 at 12:45 pm at Salon Concrete in Holmdel.

“We miss Vienna so much and can’t believe this will be the fifth birthday we will celebrate without her. Child loss is a devastating journey that continues for life. We are thankful for all the support and love shown to us by the community,” Dr. Wunderler said.
