ALERT: Road Closure to Start Monday

Oceanport Avenue will be closed to all traffic beginning on Monday, March 20 (weather permitting) until Friday, March 24. The closure will be from Silverside Avenue to East Main Street in Oceanport due to roadwork at multiple locations within the closure.

Businesses located on Oceanport Avenue between Silverside Avenue and the Parker’s Creek Bridge will be accessible.

Residents and visitors of Riverside, Horseneck Point, Park, and Orchard will need to use Oceanport Ave from Little Silver.

Residents and individuals traveling to Fort Monmouth will need to use Saltzman Ave off of Rt. 35 in Eatontown or Razor Ave off of Main Street. There will be access to the First Atlantic Credit Union via the East Gate.

Through traffic will be detoured down Silverside Avenue to Seven Bridges Road and across the Gooseneck Bridge into Oceanport. Sycamore Avenue to Broad Street may also be used. Officers will be on site to assist with travel and access to Oceanport Avenue businesses.

Police ask drivers to expect delays in this area and plan their travel accordingly.
