Alcohol is Now Banned on all Sandy Hook Beaches

Sandy Hook Beaches ban alcohol

On Tuesday, April 2, the National Parks Service announced that alcohol will be banned from Sandy Hook. The ban is currently in effect.

“Sandy Hook has become a party beach,” said Chief Ranger Greg Norman. “People don’t come here for a beer, they come here for a six pack.”

There were more than 300 alcohol-related incidents that occurred at Sandy Hook from 2016 to last year.

If you have a permit for a party, don’t worry! You can legally consume alcohol.

If you are caught with alcohol without a permit, you will receive a warning. If you are caught again, you will receive a $50 ticket. A second ticket will be $100.
