Aberdeen Police Blotter: July- August 2019

• A 48-year-old Bayville female was charged with contempt of court on a warrant issued by the Borough of Sayreville Municipal Court on July 30th. Ptl. Christopher Shaw was the arresting officer.
• A 18-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with Possession of Marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Matawan Ave on July 29th. Ptl. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer.
• A 30-year-old Aberdeen female was charged with contempt of court on a warrant issued by the Red Bank Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave on August 1st. Ptl. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
• A 22-year-old Union Beach male was charged with contempt of court on a warrant issued by the South Amboy Court following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35 on August 2nd. Ptl. Mohammad Mahmoud was the arresting officer.
• A 29-year-old Piscataway female was charged with Disorderly Conduct and contempt of court out of Middlesex County following an incident on Route 35 on August 3rd. Officers Mary Johnston and Raymond Campbell effected the arrest.
• A 61-year-old Union Beach female was charged with Shoplifting following an incident that occurred at Shop Rite on Lloyd Rd on August 3rd. Ptl. Jeff Griffith was the arresting officer.
• A 31-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with contempt of court from Trenton Municipal Court following an incident on South Atlantic Avenue August 3rd. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.
• A 39-year old Brooklyn NY female was charged with contempt of court from Aberdeen Municipal Court and Marlboro Municipal Court on August 6th. Ptlw. Heather Dillon was the arresting officer.
• A 33-year-old Union Beach female was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Heroin, on August 8th following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Avenue. Ptl. Phillip Santiago was the arresting officer.

Other police activity during this period included:

• On July 29h a 45-year-old Aberdeen female reported theft and burglary to her vehicle on Dolan Ave. Ptlw. Heather Dillon responded and took the report. Det. Edgar Serrano will be conducting the follow-up investigation.
• On July 30th a Loss Prevention Officer reported a shoplifting theft from Stop & Shop. Officer Hank Chevalier responded and took a shoplifting report. Det. Louis Nanna was assigned to the case.
• On July 30th a Loss Prevention Officer reported a shoplifting theft from Stop & Shop. Officer Christopher Shaw responded and took a shoplifting report. Det. Louis Nanna was assigned to the case.
• On July 30th a 59-year-old Aberdeen female reported fraud from Brookview Lane. Officer Anthony Marone responded and took the report.
• On July 30th a Cliffwood Fire Department member discovered a hypodermic needle in a mulch pile that had caught fire outside Shoprite. Sergeant Darrell Oliver responded and took a found property report.
• On July 30th a 49-year-old Aberdeen male reported fraud on Aberdeen Road. Officer Christopher Shaw responded and took a fraud report.
• On July 30th a 32-year-old Aberdeen female reported Fraud on Ormont Lane. Officer Christopher Shaw responded and took a fraud report.
• On July 30th a 19-year-old Aberdeen female reported receiving harassing text messages on West Prospect Ave. Officer Benjamin Cleaves responded and took a harassment report.
• On July 31st Officer Anthony Marone responded to Central Ave for a harassment report following a dispute over a parking spot.
• On July 31st Officer Jeffrey Griffith responded to Schindler Drive for a report of a mulch fire in a potted plant. Officer Griffith extinguished the fire.
• On July 31st Officer Jeffrey Griffith took a fraud report from a 45-year-old Aberdeen female that occurred on Smith Court. Det. Edgar Serrano is assigned to the case.
• On July 31st Officer Michael Monteiro took a report from a 43-year-old Aberdeen male who was the victim of fraud on Aberdeen Road.
• On July 31st Officer Mohammad Mahmoud responded to Stemler Drive for a report of a dog bite.
• On August 1st Officer Christopher Shaw responded to Denino’s Pizza for a lost property report and recovered a wallet.
• On August 1st Officer Michael Monteiro responded to Winchester Ct. and took a report of harassment.
• On August 2nd Officer Philip Santiago responded to Route 34, Heritage Square Apts for a verbal argument and took a report.
• On August 3rd Officer Jeff Griffith responded to Laurie Lane for a report of a theft from a vehicle and took a burglary report.
• On August 3rd Officer Jeff Griffith responded to Incline Place for an animal theft report.
• On August 3rd Officer Jeff Griffith responded to West Aspen Way for a motor vehicle theft.
• On August 3rd Officer Raymond Campbell responded to Idlewild Lane for a motor vehicle theft.
• On August 3rd Officer Jeff Griffith responded to Juniper Place for a fraud report.
• On August 3rd Officer Martin Walsh responded to Central Avenue for a lost property and fraud report.
• On August 5th Officer Heather Dillon responded to Philip E. Frank Way for a fraud report from a 35-year-old Cliffwood female.
• On August 5th Officer Heather Dillion responded to West Aspen way for a fraud report from a 62-year-old Aberdeen female.
• On August 5th Officer Benjamin Cleaves responded to Winchester Court for a fraud report from a 25-year-old Aberdeen male.
• On August 5th, Officer William Novak responded to Lorenzo Court for a trespassing report from a 29-year-old Aberdeen female.
• On August 7th, Officer John Palumbo responded to Glassworks Boulevard for a report of criminal mischief from a 35-year-old Old Bridge male.
• On August 7th, Officer John Palumbo responded to Philip E. Frank Way for a report of theft from a motor vehicle from a 52-year-old Aberdeen male.
• On August 8, Officer Christopher Shaw responded to Lower Main St. for a report of disorderly conduct from a 57-year-old Union Beach female.
• On August 9th, Officer Christopher Shaw responded to Central Avenue for a report of harassment from a 28-year-old Aberdeen female.

Officers responded to or initiated 631 calls for service between July 29th and August 9th, 2019, including 15 motor vehicle accidents; 31 alarms (house/fire);1 assaults; 3 burglary reports; 4 criminal mischief reports;3 crisis interventions; 9 disorderly persons; 4 domestic disputes; 5 fire calls; 30 first aid calls;5 harassment reports; 15 fraud reports; 3 M.V Thefts; 4 narcotics; 6 thefts; 1 trespassing; 13 suspicious person/vehicle; and 6 welfare checks.

Officers issued 163 summonses on 189 motor vehicle stops.

A person that has been arrested or charged with an offense is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additionally, except in specific circumstances, arrest and complaint information and names of those charged may be released.
