AAUW Holds Used Book Sale This January

Just in time for a long winter read, The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be holding the semiannual half-priced Used Book sale on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Old First Church, 69 Kings Highway in Middletown. It’s one day only, and all books and other materials will be 50 percent off.  

You’ll find all kinds of great books on every kind of topic imaginable. There are novels, biographies, nonfiction, history, cookbooks, children’s books and so many more. There are even greeting cards priced at 25 for $1, plus puzzles, games and a large selection of CDs and DVDs.  

The regular prices for hardcover books are $3 and paperbacks $2. (2020 and 2021 priced at $1 more). Children’s books are a bargain at $0.10 to $0.50 each. 

If you would like to donate some books in good condition, donations can be made on Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 am and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm. They would love mysteries, games, audio books, records, fiction and current titles. Please no textbooks or computer, business and financial books over 5 years old. Regular book sale hours are Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 am and Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. It is closed holiday weekends.

All proceeds support local scholarships at Brookdale Community College and Monmouth University.
