Kathy Berkowitz, director of A Child’s Place School in Lincroft will be retiring in July. Kathy’s career in education has spanned over thirty years, first as a teacher in the East Windsor Regional School District and the Waldorf School of Princeton, and later as the director of Kean’s University Childcare and Development Center. Throughout her time at A Child’s Place, Kathy worked tirelessly to continue the school’s legacy as well as carry out the philosophy and she will be dearly missed. She is sad to be leaving ACP but excited for this new chapter in her life.

A Child’s Place is pleased to announce that Cheryl Cuddihy has accepted the position of school director. Cheryl was first introduced to ACP when her son, Sean, attended the school as a child. She has served as the Fair Haven Sickles Elementary school principal and she is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in the Design of Learning Environments at Rutgers University. Cheryl described ACP as the “special place where I truly fell in love with education both as a professional and a parent.” Linda Littenberg, owner of A Child’s Place along with her husband Abe, shared that “ Cheryl is a natural fit for our school in many ways and we are thrilled to welcome her aboard.”

Kathy Berkowitz will stay on as director throughout the month of July and Cheryl will officially begin her new role in August.

A Child’s Place is a school for young children 3-7 years old. More information may be found at achildsplaceschool.com
