On Wednesday, Oct. 27, an 84-year-old Middletown man using a wheelchair was struck at the intersection of Route 35 and Harmony Road, according to Middletown police.
The man, whose identity is not being released at this time, was hospitalized following the incident.
The driver of the vehicle that struck him was a 61-year-old Brooklyn man. Police said he remained on the scene and is cooperating in the investigation. There have been no summonses issued at this time, police said.
The victim sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
