50th Anniversary for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Holmdel

The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd in Holmdel, founded in April 1967, will celebrate 50 years of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ and fostering the positive effects of their faith at a special service on Sunday, April 30 at the regular service time of 10:00 a.m. NJ Synod Bishop Tracy Bartholomew will be honoring them with her presence as guest preacher. Pastor George Frank, the original pastor, and his wife Lois will attend, and another former pastor, Jack Elstad, and his wife Ruth will also attend. The current pastor is Pastor Peter Hutchinson.
All past members and any non-member friends and neighbors who would like to be a part of this special day are invited to attend. The theme for the day will be from the well-known hymn, โOh God Our Help in Ages Past. Our Hope for Years to Come.โ A luncheon will follow in the church at Frank Hall and there will be lots of memorabilia to enjoy. It should be quite a day!
