More Than 500 Attend Little Silver Kitchen Tour

A bright sun was shining as the doors to nine of Little Silver’s most exceptional kitchens opened to an eager crowd during the Little Silver Kitchen Tour held on Thursday, May 4, sponsored by the Little Silver PTO. More than 500 visitors got an insider’s look at the beauty and function of these kitchens, as well as the talents of area builders, decorators, and florists, plus culinary delights from some of Monmouth County’s finest chefs.

The tour started at the Parker Homestead, where guests browsed the goods from retailers at the Red Barn Boutique, housed in the newly renovated barns on the property. From there, the tour fanned out to kitchens throughout the town, from expansive properties overlooking the Shrewsbury River to a refurbished 19th century Victorian home, and even the entire home of House of Cline designer Amanda Haytaian.

“We were so happy with how everything came together,” said Eileen Savko, co-chair of the tour. Kelly Boyer, co-chair, echoed the sentiment, saying, “We couldn’t have asked for a better day to showcase our town and to work with exceptional homeowners, volunteers, vendors, underwriters, sponsors, and friends.”

Proceeds from the Kitchen Tour support the Little Silver PTO’s mission to enhance the educational experience of children by providing curriculum-based enrichment activities, exposure to cultural arts, and programming that supports character development.
