3am Police Phone Call Leads to Arrests in Marlboro

According to the Marlboro Police Department, at approximately 3 am Sunday, residents in The Woods Development of Marlboro dialed 911 and reported unknown subjects who were attempting to gain access into a vehicle.

The vehicle was locked, and entry could not be gained. Police said the subjects fled the area and were located a short time later by Sgt. David Taglietta.

After an investigation, the four occupants in the vehicle, all residents of Newark, were placed under arrest, and criminal charges were lodged against them. Their vehicle was impounded, and the investigation is continuing with the assistance of our Detective Bureau.

The Marlboro police would like to thank the residents who called and alerted officers to this criminal activity and would like to remind everyone again to lock their doors, remove their key fobs and report suspicious activity immediately.
